We had Britt Saha, who is on Texasbowhunter, come out to our place and he did an amazing job. He cleared a lot of 30ft lanes through cedar thickets and cleared cedars around about 100 live oaks for us. He did all of this last February and we now have a bunch of native grasses and quality browse growing in these areas, which is great for the deer. That being said, the thickest mulch layer was around 3/4in tall. There is now a nice 1/2in thick mulch layer around 100 large live oak tress. Just make sure you are shredding ashe junipers, which have blue berries on them. Redberry junipers will grow back.

I would help you out but you are a little far for that little of work. You shouldn't have to pay $200/hr for a bobcat mulcher. I at the most charge $125. I usually am around $110/hr. From the sounds of it you could just run a shredder through there if available.
