Trade duck hunt for crappie 1/2 complete

Slew his son & a friend of his hunted my place in Coleman this weekend. It started off crazy , I left the kitchen faucet running and flooded my cabin I'm glad they showed up when they did. I think they shot pintail, greenhead, widgeon ringneck & maybe gadwal. Slew have the minnows ready come May my wife and I are ready to catch some crappie. Also you can come duck or deer hunting whenever you like with out a trade. Remember just keep quite about

Just now saw this!! We had a blast! Created a little monster for sure! Had him on the wrong side Sat morning. Ducks all us! Finally got him moved around and set back up with his tripod! He can't quite hold up the 20ga yet so we used the field pod and gave him 1 shell at a time! A nice pintail drake was on the water 30-40yds out and he wanted to try the shot! There were a couple in the group! I figured if nothing else we would get to shoot when he jumped em up! Well he killed his and we both whiffed! Then we heard about how he killed his and we missed a lot![emoji2]
We were covered in Pintails! Good problem to have!! How's this for a first duck!!


Sunday we had wind and set up on another tank! We hid behind a fence at the waters edge under a mesquite tree and hung grass on the fence and cut some limbs to hide with and drape grass on! Blind looked good in the dark and like crap once daylight came but we hammered the ducks the second day! Langdon was having trouble shooting through the fence with his tripod so I finally convinced him to stand up and rest the gun on top on the fence and after that it was on!! He killed a teal first! Then a good pintail. Then a shoveler. A scalp. Another shoveler and last a nice drake gadwall! Everytime a duck would land that wasn't a pintail he would look at me and ask what is it! I would tell him and he would smile and say I've never shot one of those! You thinking what I'm thinking? Lol! Little ****! Sending his pintail to birdman most likely! Heck of a weekend!
