Thank you Solocams fiance Well, I have a "Defribillator" implant, not a Pacemaker. A pacemaker and a defribillator are different devices. Although it takes a longer time for the implant area to heal, I chose to have it under the muscle for a lot of reasons. I hope the best for you. When solocam said you have an "enlarged heart", did he mean you have "Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy"?

I have been diagnosed with SVT (sinus ventricular takycardia). I first noticed it when I was pregnant with our oldest son. My doctor also told me it was just related to my pregnancy. However, now, I do have spells from time to time. Often times, it will just go irregular on it's own...like I will be in the middle of sleeping, and wake up with my heart beating irregularly. Ocassionally, I also have a racing pulse at the same time as the arythmia. When I was pregnant with our second son, I actually went to the ER with it. Not only was it beating irregularly, my heart was also beating at 161 beats per minute. It's crazy, and it's a really terrible, uncomfortable feeling. It drains me, and I'm exhausted for a day or so. I did go in to have the radio frequency ablation done, but the doctors could not find the trouble-making pathway. They were not able to produce the arythmia, so they couldn't fix anything. The doctors tell me it's not life threatening, so if anyone knows any different info, please let me know. Thanks.

As Cotton stated earlier my fiance has a "Defribillator" not a pacemaker. Sorry.

Sacket she has "Wolff Parkinson White Syndrome" (http://www.webmd.com/hw/heart_disease/nord644.asp) and dilate cardiomyopathy (http://www.webmd.com/hw/heart_disease/hw52468.asp)
