Well I sat in the rain till dark 30 and the doe finally left. She kept looking back but nothing ever came in.
Hung the Hoyt up for the season.
9 days left with the muzzle loader for me to get it done. Hope this storm and wind shift gets him up and my way in the morning.
Strong north west wind this morning and lots of rain last night.
Looking at all the pictures of him I can’t make a pattern but do know he only shows in the morning between 8-10 and ALWAYS after being there during the night before.
He has skipped a day or two between being on camera before but some times longer when he goes back to my neighbors.
Neighbor hasn’t seen any pics on his place so that’s good.
Going to pull my camera card before I climb up. Maybe he came by for a midnight snack when the rain broke last night and I can wait him out this morning.
I’ll update when I climb up and review my card. Fingers crossed!
All i saw this morning was a doe.
Part of me wants to just check my camera in the mornings early and if he’s back at night go ahead and hunt that morning.
I know if i do that and go home because he’s wasn’t there at night then he shows up in the daylight out of the blue I’ll hate myself.
I hunted countless hours last time I was home and I know my wife and kid are ready for this to end!
I won’t be here this weekend. Taking them to my cabin at my other place. Try and kill some doe with the CVA and hopefully get my daughter on a deer while we are there, as well as some pigs at night.
