Wimberley restaurants

I have never been to Wimberley however, planning a surprise birthday party for my buddy who is turning 40. There will be 2 couples and need restaurant recommendations, maybe a nice steak house or whatever y’all have enjoyed

Inoz is pretty good in Wimberley. Hays City Store is really good food that is outside of town maybe 10-15 minutes, I really like the steaks there and they serve booze

X2 o Hays City Story, we just went for our 22 anniversary after Christmas. I don't usually post stuff like this but beware of the Wimberley Cafe. They close at 3:00 which we didn't know until we walked up at 5:30. It was empty, Except a very healthy rat population and I mean RAT!.

Just do yourself a favor and drive 20 minutes from there to Salt Lick. I have heard good things about Hayes place, not been there.

I’ve been to the salt lick when I was visiting some buddies at Texas State. I remember going but not leaving.

Hays City Store is the best in the area IMO. Also, go to Shamrock Tacos in Wimberly for breakfast tacos. Very casual but really good stuff.

The Leaning Pear has an excellent deep fried New York strip. Only on the supper menu I believe.
