I've known Shep for over 30 years. He and my dad use to run cattle on Ft Hood together sometimes. He was a tough guy. I never heard him complain about cancer. He just took it one day at a time. Wasn't too long ago he and another friend of ours came out to the house and shot some sporting clays with myself and some other friends. He seemed to be doing pretty well then. Seems the last few months really took a toll on him though. May he rest in peace.

Prayers up for David and his family. To the members here that knew him well, I am sorry for your loss. Tough to lose anyone, but it's harder when you lose the good ones that left a permanent imprint on your life.
