The dang whistling ducks this year.

Last night and this morning them ducks came in and lit all around the feeders , eating corn. The deer ran off or stood outside the feeder pen staring.

I would like to know if there is a deterrent out there for the ducks. No pellet guns or shooting at them. Maybe a sign that says no duck allowed, lol. I really would like to chase them off though.

This year they are real bad.

Yep they chases off a shooter 10 pt for me as well earlier this year.

They can clean up a pile of corn. Maybe a sling shot will do the trick.

Hawk decoy? Just guessing

I thought about some decoy but they would prolly get used to it. Knowing my luck they would sit on the decoy and eat corn

I actually got out and ran 'em off a couple times, and after about 2 or 3 times of this, they never came back... A wrist rocket may or may not have been involved... I also put out an owl decoy on a t-post on the pen and moved it from post to post for a while... not sure exactly which action did the trick, maybe a combination... but the did move on.

Run you some cord down to the feeder and then put something on a hinge like a white flag on a pole...every time they land yank up the flag and scared them off.

Never dealt with them but I'm sure it would work.

shoot at them a couple times and they'll stop coming back for a bit. I let arrows fly at them lol

The sandhill cranes do the same thing at my Fiancee's dad's place in South Texas. You think deer are weird around pigs or javelinas wait until you see 30 sandhill cranes come land at a feeder where deer are eating.
