Anyone ever had leaf springs re-arched?

I think I squished my rear springs in my 2000 Z71. My grandson and I hauled some pavers for a friend. The truck didn't have any trouble pulling the load, but I'm pretty certain they lost some of their "spring". My truck is riding rougher in the rear like it is bottoming out on bumps with no load in the bed. Anyone ever seen this?

You may have blown out your shocks.

I had one done back in about 1978. They also added 2 leafs all the way around. It didn't seem all that expensive either. It was done by Atlas Spring and Brake in Austin.

If you dropped the camber out of your leaf springs, I would think they need to be replaced.

Atlas made me some new u-bolts for my Bronco a few years ago.

Inside that shop it is still 1978. They are super old school in the best way.

              Shocks blown.
You can add a leaf cheap if you want it stiffer

Had it done several times, they usually add a leaf or two. Most likely you just trashed the shocks though.

Something about spring/alignment shops.....the one I use is in downtown Ft Worth and I expect it has been since the 50s at least, Ft Worth Champion Spring. It's awesome in that shop.

I've seen it in there, not sure if they still use it.

A place in Waco rearched the springs in a '76 CJ7 I had while living in Hillsboro. They did a great job

I also will endorse Champion Spring in Ft Worth.

Probably the cheapest option would be to hit up a salvage yard and swap them out.
