The few times I’ve done something similar, I’ve been extremely frustrated when it didn’t work out. You end up with a mad wife, little sleep and miles on your truck for nothing. That being said, you can’t shoot a nice deer if you aren’t where the deer are. Just make sure that if and when you get a deer, you have enough time to clean it, get it to the processor, and get back home before you miss your “ obligation”.
