While nothing would surprise me in this day and age when it comes to lawsuits and litigation, I would love to hear from anyone who knows of a chl/ltc holder who shot someone in self defense and their expert marksmanship was used against them. I think this is just a modern day ol' wives tale.

Now if someone shoots an armed robber and is cleared of criminal charges, he/she can still be charged (improper term?) in civil court by the "victim's" long-lost, opportunistic, desperate-for-a-payday aunt. Without much of a case, I don't think the "practiced killing people" and "was just waiting for an opportunity" arguments are too farfetched.
Obviously not a lawyer. Again, just repeating what I took away from the class.

Actually if you are cleared of any wrongdoings in a self defense shooting there are civil immunities in Texas.
Of course they could try some other trumped up garbage but not for the actual shooting.
And if I ever went into a gun range and was told I couldn’t use a target like a B27 or whatnot, I’d walk right out. They don’t deserve my business for being pansies.
