    Binoculars?

Currently I have a set a 40 year old Carinal binoculars that I really like but I've decided to upgrade.
Just bought a pair of Vortex Diamondback 10-50 but I didn't care for them much. Now I'm going send them back.
    Any suggestions?
I'd like to keep it under $500 bucks.
    Under $300 wound be outstanding.
Oh yeah before people ask me. "What are ya going to be using them for?" I want them for looking directly into the sun. No, no I'm just kinddin' for hunting, bird watching and lookin' at "stuff". After all ain't that what they are made for?
If I am wrong with my assumption? Please feel free to set me straight. I can handle it?
    God bless!
    Semper Fi.

Go with 8x40 or 42 glass and you will not believe how much more light and wider field of view and magnification is barely noticed. Go with a good named medium priced product such as Trijicon, Leupold or Nikon.

          Leupold BX-2 Tioga HD
Nikon Monarch 3 or 5 (depending on how much you want to spend. Both under $500)

My daughter bought me a pair of the Vortex Talon HD 10x42 for Christmas at Scheels. They are the clearest binos I have looked through. I highly recommend them.

I wanted the Nikon with built in lazer range finder until I researched the price? Not going to spend $1200 on glass for any brand. But, I have Nikon's I leave in the stand, carry in my truck and have no complaints..clear and focus quickly with great eye relief.
