    Duck mounts

So I could use some help on duck mount ideas. I have a drake and hen mallard, drake pin tail, drake gadwall, and drake widgeon that I'm wanting to get mounted. Just need some ideas of how you have had your ducks mounted. I'm thinking about getting the 2 mallards together flying but not sure how I want the others done. Was thinking maybe hanging from a lanyard. Lets see what y'all have had done.

Depending on your area Birdmanstudios is great , if you're in the Houston or surrounding areas I would recommend gulfcoastwaterfowl Lowell has won many awards and does magic things with waterfowl. Gulfcoast has down all of mine. If you decide to go with Lowell , another word of advise would be to let him have free reign on the way the bird is positioned for the mount, doing that will give you the best looking mount possible.

Birrman does good work, so does Pat McGruder (Avian Arts) up in Frisco.

My best advice would be don’t let the cost of a quality mount by a reputable taxidermist put you off. There’s a reason why the two mentioned above get $300+ for a bird with a long wait time. You’ll get a finished product that looks like a real bird, the pose will be lifelike and the detail work will be top notch (feet, eyes, bill, feather positioning, etc). Pat has done several on my wall and I wish I’d taken all of mine to him instead of going with a cheaper option.
