battery minder

Saw another thread on the battery minder/desulfator here and wanted answer(s) if anyone here has used them. I would want to buy one and use it for different vehicles. I have 2 vehicles, 2 boats and yard tractor, the boats with multiple batteries. Do they really work? If so, How long will it take to recondition a battery? One that is fairly old and in not so good condition? Will using it on multiple batteries at the same time take longer than using it on one battery at a time? Once the batteries were in good condition, how often should the minders be used?
I have been thinking of getting one of these for a long time and think now is the time if the answers come out right.

It pulses high frequency to loosen contaminants on the plates inside the battery. Think ultrasonic jewelry cleaner inside your battery. Yes they can work. They make several different models for capacity/voltage application. Best way to monitor battery condition is via specific gravity readings.
