Im sitting in a tree stand right now and the wind is strong. Coming out of the northeast at 20 mph. This post oak is huge but the windy conditions make it twist and lean. I just unhooked my harness, I don’t want to get trapped with a falling tree lol.

Well I got busted. That wind is strong and was blowing toward a trail. I sat in the tree till after dark and waited for the hogs. I heard the little ones coming up the trail and sat tight. Old miss sow stopped in her tracks and grunted but would not come in. She sacrificed the little ones and they came on in. I could hear them crunching corn that I had threw out earlier. They were 28 yards away, but so small that I did not take a shot. Miss sow circled me and came at another direction. I eased my bow up and turned my pin light on and she huffed and trotted off.
That should have been number 21 for the year but I blew it. Oh well, I’m back at camp warming up and drinking some whiskey with a shot of coffee in it, lol. Gonna eat some black eyed peas that’s in the crock pot and try again in the morning.Comment
