Well plans changed, for the gooder ;-), tonight

So I stopped by my buddies, owns gun shop, tonight on the way home from work. I got a Christmas bonus that’s burning a hole in my pocket.

Was going to buy me a Vortex PSTII 5-24x50 or order a barrel to re barrel my AR.

The scope has the EBR2 reticle is MRAD, I don’t know much about either. I’m more familiar with MOA.

For my barrel I was thinking either 6.5 Grendel, 300BO or 18” 5.56 with 1:7

It’d be stainless w/ bull barrel. I think they look cool.

Than I walked by his display case with the Suppressors, I was like hey!! That’d be cool too....

    So he says to me,
I got some news today if you’re interested.
I’m calling a guy tomorrow about picking up a 600 acre lease in Star, TX.
He says it’s $1k/person, which includes use of stands, blinds, housing and excellent fishing. There’s ducks too, but I’m not a duck hunter.

    My pocket just cooled off.

I’ve never been duck hunting , but I’m willing to try it.
Just wish my labs was younger. One’s 11 the other’s 9 years old

I've been to Star, Texas. You have to be going to Star to go to Star.....best of luck with the lease. Sounds great.

There's a Texaco just down the road in Center City that has anything a man needs!

            I looked on Google Maps.
            There's a Star,TX and a Start County Texas.

Star, Texas is near our lease in Brady.
            Starr County is not.....

                  Well.
Other guy who’s spot I was going to take decided to stay on.

Our current lease has been on the market since we’ve been on it.
Heard that there’s a buyer. So I could be out of a deer lease...
