Guess I need a taller feeder...

This doe has it figured out. Want more candy, stand up and get it.

I need to put a cage on it or raise it up. Probably cage...dang squirrels getting in as well.

That deer is a Democrat. I know, because the handouts you're giving her clearly aren't enough for her liking. So, she's just helping herself to whatever else she'd like to take. And, what's more, she's brought her young ones along to teach them how to work the system....

            Glad it's just a deer.

Before I lost my pictures on my phone I had 3 pictures I was gonna share.
            Picture 1. Squirrel climbing leg
Picture 2. Squirrel on top of feeder motor. No corn visible on ground
Picture 3. Squirrel still on top of feeder motor, corn covering ground...
Feeder on other side of pasture 3/4 full. This one empty.

I need to redo it. Need to put a 12v Spintech, varmint cage and a funnel.

oh, I have squirels in there as well. Watched one in there when the feeder went off(12 volts) was funny to watch, but did not deter them.

1" square mesh wire, build the cage the same diameter as the barrel, secure to barrel with a ratchet strap. Done.

I have that on other feeders I have, just not this one. The barrel sits on a welded frame and is hard to rig a cage on it. Will have to bring out the shotgun and sit on the back porch and wait for em.

Or.... shoot the doe. The yearlings are still too short to reach the spinner.

I put out a stand and fill Spintech feeder this year and the bucks figured it out quickly, no matter how much corn I threw. The spinner plate wasn’t adjusted correctly and they found out how to get the corn to come out by licking it. Problem stopped once I made an adjustment.

Better than it being a squirrel
