Usually just a glass of Whiskey on rocks or mixed with coke to help me relax and get a good nights sleep.

At least until the two SILs show up then it takes a lot more whiskey.

Whatever stout or seasonal ale I pick up before we fire up the smoker. Switch to kraken and coke later in the afternoon evening. I actually like my wife's family though so it's just a big party.

As a tradition I have to make a batch of my grandmother’s eggnog recipe:

6 eggs seperated
1c bourbon
1/2c rum
Vanilla
Powder sugar

Its strong. In addition the family goes through a couple handles of Jack. Also beer.

More of a red wine person myself (Cab or Merlot). However, a nice single malt scotch, later in the evening can be nice as well.

Christmas time used to be the season I would drink Jack and coke, but now I have switched to Rebecca Creek and Coke. But I will still drink Jack and Coke, if that's what's around.

Shiner Holiday Cheer for me. I stock up plenty so I can drink it throughout the year. The best beer they make, in my opinion.

I tried to give that stuff away and none of my friends like it either I have some sitting on top of my fridge right now because it was taking up space inside. I'm a shiner guy but that stuff I have to force down. Everyone I've talked to either hates it or can drink 1 and no more.

I’d rather spend a day volunteering at a soup kitchen than with some of my relatives. With that in mind, beer with the fun ones, whiskey to make it through with the other ones.
