Yeti, RTIC, Etc. Cups in the Dishwasher

Has anyone broken down and said F it and just stuck their cups in the dishwasher? Back when the only ones out were Yetis and they cost an arm and a leg so I only had one I didn't mind hand washing it. Now I have more Stainless tumblers than normal cups in my house and don't feel like handwashing a dozen of them. I've heard of people putting them in the dishwasher with no ill effects but wanted to see if anyone here had tried it?

I haven’t. But I was looking at a new yeti cup the other day and it said dishwasher safe

Gotta admit, I've never understood that, something that is designed to take heat of coffee and other hot or cold drinks can't take a little hot water from a dishwasher? Just like the pots and pans that say non-dishwasher safe......really??? i can boil water in a pan but it's to delicate for a dishwasher?

From what I understand the initial cups that came out said not to put them in the dishwasher. Now I think they only say not to put the lids in the dishwasher.

I retract my previous statement........ This is straight from their website.

Our durable 18/8 stainless steel tumblers are built to resist dents and dings. No Sweatâ„¢ Design keeps hands dry, and protected from hot and cold drinks. Plus, the Rambler 30 oz comes with a MagSliderâ„¢ Lid and both are dishwasher safe.

I do and the only thing I have noticed on my RTIC camo cup is the color faded a little.

I put them all in the dishwasher but make sure they are on the top rack just because of some of the earlier warnings.

                          Seems those were unfounded now.

Only minor issue we had is my wife's purple RTIC has faded a bit over time.

I haven’t but I’m about to start. That’s all I use anymore and I’m tired of hand washing them.
