I settled into my blind around 3:00 after looking at a Nilgai bull at about 100 yards and contemplating on if I should shoot it or not. At around 4:00 my buddy text me and said the buck I was looking for was at his stand so the stalk began.

Just as I’m getting close a herd of cows walks out of the brush and spooks him. He then comes back out at about 300 yards but I haven’t had enough time behind this gun to shoot that far so I contemplated moving to that other stand when he went into the brush again. My buddy talks me into staying put and I’m glad I did because he circled back around and popped out of the brush at 100 yards or less. He had two does with him and got spooked again but he came right back to the hand corn I had put out. I passed this deer late last week after going back and forth on shooting him or not and then he disappeared for a couple of days making me regret on passing him.
