    Covert app question

Just set my code black up in my dog run to see how it works. Are you guys able to get 12 mp pics through the app or it it limited? I know there is an option in the settings.

I think the 12 mp pics will be on the card.

Yes, that allows you program the cam remotely. Not sure it changed what you view on the app. There is a way to request HD picsat a per pic charge. I’ve never done it, but I think they send you the higher quality pic

Just on the card. The app shows you good enough pictures to figure out what you're looking at but in order to get higher resolution you have to pull the card and download them. I haven't downloaded my pictures in over a year because the app does a good enough job for me.

So do I need to have it on a certain setting to receive the pics in the app?

No. I keep mine on 12 because card is big enough not to have storage issues. It will send same quality pics to app, no matter what you set it on

I see. Next question. When I make setting changes like picture burst or or trigger interval from the app, should I be able to see it change in the menu of the camera? I tried this and I dont see anything happen.

It compresses the pictures when it sends to your app or up on their server. the pictures stay 12MP on the card. YOu can request a HD download of a picture for an additional fee through the app.

What is your Remote Control delay set to? If it is 24 hours then it will change once the camera syncs. I have mine on 12 hr delay.

I changed it to realtime after watching a youtube vid about the app. My understanding is that it needed to be on realtime in order to send “take pic” command from the app and receive it instantly. I guess the remote delay affects every remote function?

                        x2!

If running battery packs put it on real time so it will receive your commands sooner.

                          yes! That is true

Any change or command from you will take however long you have the remote delay set for. So it on .5 then it will be 30 mins until the cameras searches for any commands from you

How are you powering the camera? Just standard batteries inside, solar panel, etc? You will get a few weeks on regular batteries but there are some maintenance free options out there for solar panels and rechargeable batteries. Mine ran for about 18 months before I had to replace the batteries.
