    Rebuild Cost For AR?

I have a DPMS AR that i want to rebuild. It has a front sight that I would like to take off. I would also like to put on a new rail 12-14 inch, with decent scope. Can this be done for around 500.00? Not real familiar with AR parts.

you could get a complete upper for less than that. buy a new one and now you have 2 or can sell the old

buy this one and send me all the extras

You could build an entire AR for less than $500 right now.

Easily under $500 unless you buy a high $$ hand guard.

You’ll need a low profile gas block, handguard of your choice.

Optics could (and should IMO) bust your $500 budget. I would cut cost in the handguard before your scope. The UTG Pro handguards are a decent one for under $150.

Use a Burris PEPR or Leupold Mark 2 IMS for your optics mount.

IMO, I'd get a hand guard that accepts M-lok, I like ALG hand guards for about $100. Then put rails where you need them. I had a LaRue quad rail and hated it. Too bulky and not comfortable to shoot.

A complete upper will likely be the best route. Unpin yours, pin the new one on. Then you can sell your complete upper and recoup some of the costs.

This would be my approach, heck I've done it multiple times. Should be able to find a complete upper with what you're wanting for about $250-300 and then sell your upper for $150 or so and use the remainder on your optics.

If you're trying to keep it as cheap as possible, I'm pretty happy with my Nikon p223, there's one for sale in the classifieds as well for $150 i believe.

Omega manufacturing cheap handgurads that aren’t too bad. And their gas block you’d be set for roughly $75-100.

I just put this one on a build I'm doing. I really like it and it is CHEAP. Throw on a $15 low profile gas block and you should be good to go. Spend the rest on optics.
