    Galveston Night fishing tips

Hey guys, going to fish west bay with a guide next Saturday the 30th. Never been to Galveston before.

We are wanting to fish somewhere the evening before, wade, surf, lighted pier. Anybody have any advice where to go?

Was told sea isle Pier is lighted but private, but that we could wade under it? Just not sure about wading in the dark in water I've never been in.

Since we are going with a guide I'm not taking boat or kayak, a lighted pier or surf spot would be awesome.

Try googling west bay fishing hot spots, I sometimes just pick a spot off of there and have had good luck. I haven't hit up west bay much lately but you're bound to hook up on something. Tight lines and rip some lips.

Previously I had a link posted but it was not pulling up what I was trying to show you.

You will be fine wading in the water around the piers. I have done it many many times. What guide did you book?

Going with Rudy Peralez. Like I said never been but several guys recommended him, and it looks like he catches fish!

Was planning on taking my boat, but figured we'd go with a guide since we've never been there to learn , and then take mine future trips.

I have done all that, just wasn't sure if there was a difference at night. I'm from SWLA. We don't get in the water in the marsh, and definitely not at night.

Sweet. I think this is what we'll try. Would you recommend wading sea Isle or other suggestions?

I kind of like it on the map because it's a little isolated, and since it's private won't be overran by wallys casting at us.

I understand whatcha mean, no worries here except stingrays and sharks. (only the little ones come in close)
You'll have fun no matter what you decide. Good luck!

What artificial baits y'all use at night? We used to use glow in the dark h&h cocahoes in LA.

I've heard sharks only bite to get your attention. Apparently they love to be tickled.

Can you send me a location for discharge plant?

I'm sure the guide will have us in deep water. We're just trying to have some fun the night before!

                              Try this

The Flood Gates in Moses Lake near Texas City is another deep water haunt for trout and reds. Best bet for success is a natural offering, though many trout fall victim to glow Corkies and Bass Assassins gingerly worked under the lights at night. Rat-L-Traps and white or pink 51M MirrOlures, Crazy Croakers and Catch 5's are great go-to baits as well.
