    GoPro hero or session?

How many of you video your hunts with a GoPro? Do you use the hero or the session? At first I was thinking hero but then thought about the screen on the back putting off light in a blind or low light. What are your thoughts?

All I’ll say is it isn’t as easy as they make it look. I have the hero 3 that doesn’t have a screen but it’ll connect via bluetooth to the phone. That eats up a lot of batteries though. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve filmed stuff pointing the camera just a little too high or low. I’m sure there is a trick or something to it but I’ve never done very good with mine.

I have both The Hero 5 and the session. I use the Hero 5 way more than the session. So far I haven't had any problems with the light from the screen bothering any of the critters.

This is what worries me about the session.

The Tactacams work great as well. I prefer it to my Go Pro for hunting.

I found the Hero 4 Session refurbs on sale at Woot for $99, they may still have some left. The lack of screen bothers me but a lot of folks use them for POV angles only, like a body or bow cam.

I would use the hero 5. More bang for your buck. I would also use a remote.

I think the session would be good for helmet mount or something like that.

I have the hero 4 black. Started having charging issues. Also having problems downloading updates. Also have the remote. Which really runs the battery down quicker. I bought a Fitfort camera off of Amazon for $65.00. So far I've been really impressed. Comes with a case more mounts and attachments that I'll ever use. Also the attachments work with GoPro camera. Also comes with a charger two batteries and a remote. The remote take pics and video. The camera also has a screen on the back. Also if you review their camera on Amazon they will send two extra batteries and a charger. So far camera has worked extremely well. Shoots in 1080 and 4K. I don't think is has GoPro quality video clarity but works for me.
