Laying hens don't have any meat on them to speak of. Run a Craigslist add and some bleeding heart will come get them.

I would go the Craigslist route also. Facebook also has groups of “chicken people” that like to have them more as pets/yard art. That’s what im going to do once my hens stop laying.
