    Winter Crappie?

Need help from all the crappie experts. Never fished for em except spring. how deep do i need to look for them? Going to be fishing Lake Pat Cleburne.

They placed crappie condos along dam in 2016 and pvc cube reefs around the lake this summer.
Link has GPS coordinates for them. Lake is 64 ft deep. Water is murky. If you can get minnows around that structure you should get into them.

Back a couple months ago I went looking for crappie and condos using the GPS coords from the TPWD site. Couldn't find either, no crappie, no condos.

I've read that PVC is almost impossible to detect on some of the depth finders, so not sure if I was doing something wrong, or just bad luck.

Here we catch them 6-25' on brush, using jigs in the winter. Some days it's hair jigs and other days will be plastics. Color of jig and clearity of water has a lot to do with it.

Don't worry. I found all of them right where they supposed to be. And every one of them.
They are in 20-29 foot of water. 20-25 for the most part.

The fish are biting, and there's hogs to be kilt. Gotta go!
