I did not want to step the other old deer post. My buddy shot a weird Mulie last week. It had the gray face of an old Mulie but was the size of a yearling. I watched him for 3 days, called him Graybeard. He tried but could not eat corn. He would swallow 5 kernels and go eat brush and then come back to try again.
My buddy shot him. His head was big. His skin was like an obese person who lost a lot of weight. Hanging loose everywhere. Big bones and feet. But no meat.
Turned out he was starving. He had no teeth. When we skinned him he had no fat on body. He would have died this winter, we think. He was weak. He shot him(bow), he walked 10 yards and fell over.
