Same here...been very pleased with it for the last 6 years, although I haven't shot my .243 this year

Forget the .243 talk, have you had your mechanical bull ride yet? :-)

Federal Fusion. Cheap, easy to find, and they are flat out nasty on deer and hogs.....IF they shoot well in your rifle. That being said, I have not found a rifle yet that the Fusions were not the best or at least in the top 2 performing factory loads.

I don't have a Savage, but this has been my experience with Federal Fusion too. My 7mm-08 likes it, my 30-30 loves it compared to others. I've never shot it in my .308, but I'll be picking up a box soon to give it a shot. Seems to be really consistent factory loaded ammo at a reasonable price.

                  Hornady sst

I just shot a spike today(110lbs Hillcounty deer ) and a 180 lbs cull in Webb county with hornady sst , this gun has horrible accuracy
But can get 1 1/2 moa with hornady and the sst made a clean pass through DRT on both
The bullet is good (I have my doubts about the rifle though)
