Sore on Dog's Leg

I recently adopted a GSD from my best friend. When he came to me, his leg seemed a little swollen. Over the last week that I've had him, it's gotten worse and has opened up but isn't draining. We're going to make a vet appointment tomorrow but wanted to check with the GS to see what the thoughts are. It's very soft and fluctuating so I assume it's full of pus or fluid. Doesn't seem to bother him any. No limping or licking of the spot.

I mashed on it pretty good. He decided he didn't like that too much. It pushes some tissue out but couldn't get it to burst.

I only mentioned it because of a thread on here in the last 10 days or so ago. Something about fly larva
Vet will figure it out pretty quick I'm sure.

I am guessing an infected cactus thorn, lance it and squeeze then put some monkey blood on it. Atleast that is what mom did to me.
