What firearm (or bow) did you get your first deer with?

30/30 Marlin 30AS.
A fork horn I shot 3x, thought I didn't hit it cause it didn't drop. On the 3rd shot to neck, it did. I hit all 3x.

I didn't kill my first deer until last year at 60 yrs. of age. Little button buck with a Colt CRE-18 in 5.56mm (Winchester 62 gr. bullet). Bow - pending. I shot my deer at 100 yds. The position in the blind was terrible, I had to take the shot standing, and with the rifle canted onto its side - so the crosshairs were an "X" shape, instead of a cross shape. This resulted in a high double lung hit which didn't matter to the deer. He dropped like he was hit by the Hammer of Thor - DRT.

I don't remember the brand bow as it was a hand me down from my friend and it was over 30 years ago and I only shot it about 6 months. I killed a 2x2 blacktail.

Savage model 340 bolt action in 30 30 many years ago. Sold it and bought a savage 30 06. Wish I still had that savage 340 though. It was my first deer rifle.
