    what 1911 holster

I'm looking for a good leather holder for a ruger 1911. I need it by Christmas so getting one custom made would most likely take to long. Its not necessarily a concealed carry weapon. So owb is fine. Any suggestions?

Really like my bianchi thumbbreak. It sits close to the body, so CC is pretty easy with an untucked shirt, and it’s out of the way if carried openly.

Turner Leatherworks May have one already made for a 1911. He is pretty quick on his turnaround time also.

Desantis or galco thumbreaks are both good. Optics planet has good pricing.

I am a big fan of the DM Bullard products. I carry a fullsize Sig 1911 w/rail in one of his holsters with one one of his belts.

I carry using Bullard holsters as well. I spent the first 10 years of carrying fighting others holsters. I went with a strong side OWB holster of his and it conceals better, is more comfortable and retains very well for everyday carry. I have a buddy I am trying to convince to check them out (we drive right past his shop twice a day) and finally yesterday he said he is going to stop in. I would be very surprised to hear that you would not be thoroughly happy with one.
