Except there isn't a dime of your sons tuition that goes to the athletic budget and not a dime of money donated to the athletic department goes to your sons education.

Are you sure? A lot of times there is a sports fee or university fee of a certain amount that gives them access to all sports games, whether they like it or not....it started in the mid 90's. Some are now on a lottery system, since athletic events are so popular.

On another note, I'm not an Aggies fan, but it's been rumored the new coaching change was funded by donors instead of debt service...

The way coaching swaps are going, $7.5 mill per year may be the norm before the term is up. Yeah 10 year deal is a concern but hell it is not my money. Now for lifetime bucket list Aggie national championship would be very low on the list.

At A&M it's optional to purchase a sports ticket package but that is separate from tuition. The athletic budget is separate from the university budget. State tax dollars, PUF money, tuition all go to the University and don't cross over to the athletic dept. I was under the impression that all the major universities did it this way.

Yes, Sumlin's buy out and Fischer's contract are funded with donor money.
