Following...I was thinking of Victorinox but my brother says Wustoff are good knives. Need to look into Henckels.

First 3 post after initial ??? All excelent I own all 3...
Cutco warranty is second to none as (Brute Killer) said and free sharpning for life...allyou gota pay is postage..They come back SHarp and repaired or replaced as needed..in only a couple weeks..But they aint cheap..and it don't matter if your 1st 2nd or 3rd owner they take care of business...Last edited by cva34; 12-07-2017, 07:41 AM.

Cutco and the Dexter white handle are stamped. Henckel and Wustof are forged German steel. Mercer has both stamped and forged depending on your price point. If you want a lifetime knife get forged.
For $50 (the price of postage a couple of times to cutco)you can get a good manual sharpener with a daimond abrasive (not a cheap one with carbide abrasives) from a restaurant supply store.
