I did this. Just a shade more than 1 round. I dropped it, hit it, shook it, dropped it more to make sure that it would not discharge. It hasn’t and it really improved the trigger

I did mine for the price of the spring at Lowes. Also polished the sear like mentioned above. Nice and crisp 2lb with no over-travel. Drop test passed every time. Very enjoyable to shoot now. I believe I have some pictures of the spring and how much I trimmed it(shown with a digital caliper.)

I did this to both of my Axis rifles. Dropped the pull weight to under 4#.

1 rifle I cut 1 1/2 coils off, and the other ended up being 1 3/4 coils (but that one started with like a 12# trigger pull )

          I guess I'm a little confused.
Are these ones with or without the Acutrigger?
And when to buy the kit do you need to but a new trigger also.
I thought the Acutrigger was a good trigger.
We bought the kids one in 243 and I want a good trigger so the learn to shoot correctly.

No.... it is the cheaper axis without the Accutrigger.

You do not need to change the trigger. It is basically just a spring switchout.

I did the same. Cut 1.5 rings off of the spring. Polished up trigger surface with some fine grit and Flitz metal polish and waalaaa! New trigger.
I did my trigger job before I found out about this kit.
The Axis is a economy grade rifle, that is inexpensive; but it is not cheap.
Mine in .223 is very accurate.

I did this too. Took me all of 15-20 minutes. Much improved over stoc. Figured I’d give it a shot first and then grab the EBay kit if it didn’t work. Saved $20

Got one ordered for the kids 243.
The trigger on it is pretty stiff out of the box.

Thanks Playa .. $15 off of eBay and easy install. Passed the drop test after install and reduced trigger pull to @ 3.35 pounds by my scale.. was going to go to the Range tomorrow but got to go to Corpus to pick-up the MIL or Christmas ..
