    Question about pallet blinds

I've been wanting to try building a blind for a while and recently got enough pallets together to put a blind together.

Current plan is to paint the outside, burlap the inside, and brush the outside, cutting out shooting holes. Roof would be burlap if I put one on. Probably going in an area where bow and rifle shots would be available. Not sure on size yet but I have a question for people who have built them in the past.

Has anyone done anything that's been effective to keep snakes/other unwanted critters out? My thought is to put a piece of plywood on top of a pallet and have that as a floor. Maybe put some plywood on the "walls" to try to discourage snakes but I'm not sure how effective that would be, unless the whole this is covered.

Any and all advice is welcome. Hoping to get it done over Christmas break. I'll post pictures when its done.

our pallet blinds are not assembled. they sit on the ground and they are just wired together so the side walls don't fall over. then just put a bucket or chair behind it and hunt.

Buy some plywood build a blind. Burn the pallets to keep warm at camp.

Build you a good blind out of smart siding and give the pallets to some high school for their homecoming bon fire.

I've hunted out of old blinds a lot of people wouldn't dare to climb into.
Use what you have and it's free, go with it! You can place the floor on rocks or concrete blocks to get it off the ground.
