    Question about Donkeys

We have about a 400 acre pasture in south texas that is roll chopped into a checkerboard pattern with a lot of grass (no cows). I was wondering if you can just release a single donkey in there with the grass to eat and water to drink, and if they will survive on their own? And if not what else do they need?

They will survive but may develope psych problems. They are a herd animal and do need social interaction. Single donkeys can be very dangerous animals, even deadly in extreme cases. The ex mayor of hillcountry village was killed on his ranch by a single jack several years ago.

Why not just get a couple cows?

Is the plural of Donkey; Donkey's, Donkies or Donkii?
