Anyone seeing rut activity near Goliad?

Any luck out there? Zero luck on my lease.

Young bucks are keeping the doe busy and mature bucks are starting to get interested.

Very little activity of bucks chasing on my place. Young buck chasing a doe about 2 weeks ago buts that's it. Thanks.

Been seeing a couple bucks chasing in Beeville.

Young bucks are keeping the doe numbers off of feeders for the last 10-14 days now. Bucks are starting to roam also just not showing up on cams or seeing them consistently. Some bucks that had left in late October are now showing back up. Random sightings and pics of them. Some broken tines showing up in the past week also. Deer are really fat this year thanks to timely rains and a lot of rain from May till Sept. Hitting oats at night also with these hot afternoons. Afternoons have been better than morning hunts this year and that is unusual for my place.

We also seeing the result of the bad drought years in 2011 and 2012 for mature buck numbers. Then add in 3 years from 2013, 2014 and 2015 wjth an average of 17% fawn crops in the Western part of the county(done by county WMA). We are down on mature buck numbers to start with. I bought my place in May of 2012 and it only rained 9" till the end of the year. I think the landowner said it rained a total 7" in all of 2011.

Went to our place in Gonzales this past Friday and Saturday. Lots of does and a few bucks. Not really chasing does but a real nice 7pt left out near dark in the direction of a doe that was acting like she was coming into heat. Starting to rut? Maybe ...
