For chrome sockets and combinations wrenches duralast from AutoZone are good as for ratchets don't go cheap get a Snapon 80 tooth you won't regret it lifetime warranty less risk of breaking your hand than Craftsman harbor or kobalt

That Craftsman "Lifetime Warranty" is only gonna last another 1-2 years. Your best bet for good/cheap is gonna be Kobalt. If you DO decide to spend some money, SK makes good tools in the USA, and much cheaper than Snap On.

Stanley hold up very well. I have one of the large briefcase type sets. It travels and stores great.

                      Well, I'll be ****ed...

With sale of brand to Stanley Black & Decker, Sears' iconic Craftsman tools are set to be sold at rival Lowe's.

And they're "shifting production back to the USA".

I'd still be leery of the standard Craftsman ratchets. They haven't been worth a durn since they changed to the black lever style. They'll bust your knuckles...

I have Craftsman, Kobalt, Pittsburgh, all about the same. My Craftsman are older though. Pittsburgh from HF are much better than used to be, and Kobalt are good too.

Maybe I missed it and maybe I wrong...But I thought Craftsman was Bought up by Stanley..

I usually can buy better Quality tools at Garage sales than Whats on market today..

Warranty aint everything...If I gota stop what I'm doing to get a replacement tool I do not feel like a winner
