    Feeder battery or timer?

Feeder quit spinning so I checked it yesterday morning. Timer says the battery is charged but motor doesn’t spin. I figure the 6v motor is out so I change it but no luck. It will spin without the spinner plate on but not when it’s installed. I did notice that the battery meter on the timer kept dropping to zero then bouncing back up to full even though all connections were tight. It’s a WGI rechargeable that’s just over a year old and has a solar panel on it. First time I’ve had any issues. Replace the battery?

Have you tried going around the timer and connecting the battery directly to the motor? That will tell you if the timer is malfunctioning

I did and the motor spun but it was sluggish. After I did that I hooked everything back up and the motor would spin in test mode but only without the plate. With the plate on in test mode the screen fades out until the 10 seconds are up. I can hear the motor trying to spin but it just doesn’t have the juice from what I can tell.

The problem is the battery. It has wgi on it. ANYTHING with wgi on is garbage. Had this problem myself with wgi batteries. Get rid of them and no more problem
