Years ago, the governor of NM actually did that with the local guard units in the border. Would rotate them out for a couple weeks at a time. For about 4 years if memory serves correct. They would stay at the local best western while there. I can remember they’d have high tech cameras and monitoring equipment mounted to their trucks. My uncle was a BP sector chief out of El Paso when they did it. I remember him telling me stories of how for those few years before he retired they actually made a dent in the trafficking down that way.

If the public truly knew what was going on at the border instead of what they see on tv shows and the news it would change their view and give BP more funding and less restrictions on how they handle these folks.

A good friend of mine lives in Mercedes.. The stories that he routinely tells me about what is really happening down there would not be allowed on TV... Its just that bad..

1: Go after ANY company who hires illegals. Hit them hard with fines and/or shut them down. It’s currently a law on the books and will stop most better lifers dead in their tracks.
2: Deport any illegals found in this country. No food stamps, no medical, no drivers license, nothing.
3: Cutoff all federal funds to any State/City who harbors illegals.
4: Death sentence for anyone bringing in drugs or weapons into this country.
5: Build a wall only where feasible to not wall out Americans from U.S. soil and fill the gaps with boots on the ground (and never one LEO by himself) and electronic surveillance/motion sensors/drones/etc... With clear rules of engagement to stop people from entering illegally. And run the wall right up California way while we’re at it (OK, that’s a dream). And make Mexico pay for it by charging a tariff on everything coming in and on companies who decide to use their cheap labor.

You guys probably would approve putting them border crossers in a concentration camp and not feeding them " like most country's do but not the USA " this is probably the best deterrent! is stiff penalty for entering illegally and we need public floggings too for poaching and drunken driving and such

Without doing this it is going to be a never ending cycle. They come across ( hopefully) get caught sent back. Days or hours later they come back across,and repeat. Then they they do a crime here and when they are about to get caught or know they are being looked for, they run back across. I'd rather see this then a deer strapped to a four wheeler on a trailer going down the hi way.

Yep my brother says the same thing. All the agents I know say we don’t need a wall but rather more boots and less restrictions.

We spend approx 140 billion a yr taking care of illegals. People ask how do you pay for a wall? Well I can find 140 billion real easy without much thought.
