570 FS Rancher or XP 1000

I'm trying to decide between two Polaris Ranchers. The 570 Full Size or the XP1000. The cabs are similar in size and I don't see why I would need the extra horsepower of the 1000 but maybe I'm missing something. The 570 is a 2018 and the XP1000 is a 2017 which carries a $2000 discount. Still the 1000 is about $2000 more out the door. They don't seem to have any 2017 570's anymore.

What do Rancher owners think? Thanks in advance.

I have a 2015 570 and it is super loud compared to a 900. I wish I would have not been a cheap *** and gotten the 900. I wouldn't recommend it for a hunting buggy. And everyone says that they don't need the extra horsepower, don't lie to yourself. I can put two people in mine and 4-6 sacks of corn and notice anlag in power. I wouldn't get the 570, they may have made some changes to them in the recent models but they dropped the ball on the exhaust IMO.

The 570s I've heard have all been louder than the big motor. Plenty of power for just cruising around, I've been in both the full size single row and the mid size crew. I would get the 1000 though, better pulling power and won't feel sluggish under load. Plus it a 1000.

"Man, I wish I would have bought the smaller motor!" - no one ever

I had a 2016 570 and it was super quiet they had redone the exhaust in 2016. It was a good buggy would top out around 50mph

I have a 16' 570 crew and I have no complaints even with my 5X8 trailer with 1K pounds of corn and a cab full of grown men.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Wish I would have had my head on straight when I wrote the original post. RANGER not RANCHER.

Anyone else care to weigh in?

RLUM and I are on the same page. 15' crew 570 4-big guys, ice chests full of beverages, and 10+ bags of corn= no problems. Doesn't struggle and gets us there all day long.

If you can get the 1000 for $2k more I would do that. The 1000 would bring the $2k or more at resale and would be more desirable.

I cannot have a decent conversation with anyone in the passenger seat of mine. I don't have any complaints about its ability to just cruise around with me or my wife and daughter, but I can notice a difference when it's got a load on it

Well then I got the **** end of the deal then, sounds like I need to find a 16+ muffler and make the swap. Mine sounds like a sport atv
