Why is the Green screen green

As I set in the stand checking the green screen from time to time. I noticed it does not light up the blind like other sights. Pland or by accident? Genius!

FWIW-
If you use Tapatalk you can turn the settings to nighttime reading mode and it will turn the background black with white letters.
Blasphemy I know, but it won't light up your blind or affect your night vision as much that way.

It used to be yellow but then folks started calling it the pee screen so the mods had to change it to green.
