    HCR Electronics timer

    OK
I have already made up my mind on this timer and the company

I have 2 of the timers

    Pardon my FRENCH
but these are piece of S-it

    Both FAILED
    water mositure

    let dry out, works again
    already tried the silca bags

went to Academy, picked up a Moultrie Timer for $34
    works fine
    compared to $ 100 each
then the company has the worst WEB page
either they are in Burnet Texas or Canada

    don't know don't care
    will never happen again

    My feelings on these timers,
    DO NOT BUY, POS's

These timers were at one time very very reliable and we still have some that are working and almost 10 yrs old. We have bought newer ones that didn’t work out the box. We too have abandoned these for “the timer”. The shop is in Burnet as I have stopped by to have a repair made two years ago on a new timer.

They used to be good! I still have some working that are old.

Always hated them because you had to turn them back to RUN. Well I'd forget occasionally. Gotta love a timer that defaults back to run.

I was having problems with the battery causing corrosion. I turned them upside down, and also put them in plastic bags with the large silica bags to keep them dry inside. I've taken them in to have them fixed, and usually end up replacing them with the half cost they offer me. I've decided I won't buy anymore though, the one I got from Academy seems to work just as well for half the cost.

How are they getting wet? I do not understand that part. I have 20 plus of these. Some are old some are brand new. Work fine.
