    For all you mathematicians...please help

I'll try to keep this as simple as possible in my explanations...can someone tell me how I can find the total acreage of an irregular tract of land, if I come inside the property boundary with a 600' buffer from the fencelines... What's my total acreage of the tract now?

I can provide the total perimeter footage, total square footage, or the beginning acreage of the tracts if this helps?

Do you have a copy of the plat/survey?

If you can draw the perimeter with the lengths it's a pretty easy calculation. Even a napkin sketch with numbers will work.

Use this website and Google maps. Zoom in start clicking the points around the area and it calculates the acreage

Ok, well guess everyone knew about this site....LOL sorry didn't see above postings. But hey now you know...

Quick math would be you're losing an acre to buffer zone every 875 feet if you're adding a 600 inch (50 ft) buffer. Obviously that isn't going to be exact because some will overlap at corners and such.

Yep, I just use the googler maps and trace the property/area outline. Once you make a closed shape, right click will give you area... and it's pretty dang accurate too.

Walk around it if possible with a GPS.

I may be wrong but doesn't google earth have a feature where you can trace the outline of the land and it tells you the acreage? Oops. Saltwater Slick got it.

also works really good for shady deer lease brokers.

buddy of mine was checking out a place in duval county that was 30% smaller than it was being leased at. (imagine that)

Just get the app On X Hunt. It gives you the property info on every piece of property. Everyone should have this app if they bowhunt.

Google earth and the maps is a little different. But google earth Pro has that feature to measure acreage, google earth only has distances. Google earth Pro is now free to download too. You used to have to pay for it.
