And to be fair I probably shouldn’t of used the term albino but in fact I believe he is catogerized as a leucistic deer. He does not have red eyes and the other odd characteristics of a true albino deer from what I can tell.

We found a little slough off the san jac after watching ducks pile in from another spot. This was wayyyy before satellite and gps. Spot was about 20 yards wide and 150 yards long with some sticky, soft, silty mud. It was surrounded by palmettos, one side led slightly up hill into a small stand of water oaks. One of the first trees had two 2x4s nailed about 3 or 4' feet off the ground. If it was a tree stand, I guess it was to get just high enough to look over the palmettos.

I always imagined a big ole swamp donkey buck hanging in those oaks

Started at a feeder and quickly got bored this AM in Dripping, feeder sitting is getting less entertaining for me. Ended up stalking around and could have shot a young 8pt and doe.

I caught one yesterday during the rain. Processor said teeth and body said 5.5-6 years old but he was little. Glad to have taken him. Saw 8 deer before this guy. Click image for larger version
