    Archery injuries

I was setting a 30 yard pin 3 weeks ago and felt a twinge in my upper arm. It kinda feels like my upper tricep. It is still really sore when I raise it. I can still draw my bow with some soreness and weakness. Any ideas on what I might have injured? I don't think it's rotator because it feels more like my arm and not shoulder.

Sounds like the injury my friend sustained. He tore I believe his tricep muscle. Not sure how he actually started it . I know afterward he would still practice his bow and it gradually got worse. And finally one day after several beers and a couple of games of corn hole that’s all she wrote . It tore completely and created a ball under his skin. Not trying to scare you give it a little time to heal and take it easy . If it gets worse go get it checked out

Thanks, hoping I can finish the year before it gives out.

We may have a few medical professionals on this site, but I am not one of them. I have a torn rotator cuff in my right shoulder. Delaying surgery as long as possible and maintaining with physical therapy. The pain from a torn rotator cuff can radiate to other parts of the arm. The majority of my pain was felt in the bottom part of my bicep as opposed to the shoulder.

I had a similar issue a few years back
I was fearing it might be a rotator cuff injury, turned out to be a "distended bicep"
Physical therapy, knowledge about my injury & better habits got me back on track

With as many bow hunters as we have. I figured there would be common injury.
