            Had to remove "dead man" smell from a couple vehicles in my lifetime and an open can of coffee will do the job.

                Geoffro,

                It's a pain but TSP (trisodium phosphate) is the way to go, just make sure to follow the dilution and washing directions closely.
                Ozone generator and cheap do not go in the same sentence..... yes they will help, but depending on the output strength and usage of the unit they can do more harm then good IMO. I would consult an air quality or smoke restoration professional before using an ozone generator.
