    clarifiers and verifiers

    Good Afternoon Folks,
So I’m getting older and so are my eyes. Ive been looking at clarifiers and verifiers. One makes the pin sharper but kind of blurs the target, and the other makes the target sharper and blurs the pin. What is the best way to sharpen up the pin & target at the same time ?

Verifier should do what you want. They have different power verifiers. Go to your local shop and look at the different power lenses and see which one suits your needs.

Verifier is what you want. The clarifier is used in conjuntion with a sight that has a magnified lens.
I'm in the same boat. Picking up a verifier tomorrow. You should be able to get both the pin & target clear with the right peep lens.

Go to a pro shop and look at them so you get the lens you need. I did and it makes a big difference as now I can see the target and pins without glasses.

Thank Yall so much. I’ll be heading to my local shop on Wednesday. It’s rough getting old

It has been said above. Try out multiple options in verifiers and clarifiers and even lenses.
I use a #2 Clarifier in my peep and a 6x power lense in my scope for my best results.

            It is heck getting old

I got a verifier and it's great. Just try to go with the lowest number you can. You'll be glad you did.

It's time for me to get this sorted out too. Dang it.

I got old too & need trifocals. So I have a verifier to see the pins. I have contacts to see far and shoot with both eyes open and my right eye thru the verifier is my dominant eye, so I just place the pin where it needs to be with both eyes open and I shoot extremely well.

Be sure to take your bow. Have them put the verifier peep in and swap out the verifiers in the peep until one is better than the other.

If you cannot take your bow measure the distance from your peep on your string to your pins on your bow and from your eye to the peep when the bow is DRAWN. So you use that measurement to test out the verifier strengths at the correct distance from your eye and then the correct distance to the pins from the peep.

I'm afraid I'm going to be in the same boat in the offseason. Need to get my new prescription for my glasses taken care of and move forward with this I guess.

great video on verifiers from Specialty Archery. Explains the choosing process well.

Probably the best archery related purchase I have ever made. Just recently had my prescription changed, and my eyes had gotten a little worse. When I put in the new contacts, the target was perfectly clear, but man were my pins fuzzy.

Went to the bow shop, used the little tool they had to determine which one I needed and bam, I can see my pins again! It's not cheap by any means, but 110% worth it.

And once you have the peep housing, you can always just buy additional lenses as your eyes change. I would recommend you get it for sure.

                          Better than the alternative.
