Wisdom teeth pulled before hunt. How bad?

Well, I'm 42 and I'm going to have my wisdom teeth pulled. Not impacted, just being removed for higene resons. I am having them pulled out the 8th and was planning on hunting the 12th-14th. You think I will be okay or should I postpone the tooth extraction?

Did it when i was in high school, so a long arse time ago. I'm 47.

You should be fine if its on the 8th and your trip doesn't start until the 12th.

I don't remember it being painful and was out of it for about a day with the meds.

    And mine were impacted.

    Have fun on the trip

You will be fine. Mine were impacted and had all 4 out in 2006. Just be careful what you eat, worst part is being hungry.

You should be fine barring no complications. I was back to work in 2 days.

You will be good. Had all mine pulled at 37. Just figure out what all you will be eating and have your wife cook a bunch ahead of time. I remember potato soup, deviled eggs, banana pudding. Soft foods that won't get stuck in the holes where your teeth were. Go ahead and order you a few of those curved syringe looking things. That way you can squirt water down in the holes where the teeth used to be to keep them clean.

I think it all depends on how your body reacts to it. Mine was a breeze and I was back to normal that evening just on ibuprofen. A guy I used to work with had his face swell up like a beach ball and was out of work for 2 weeks.

Like others have said you will be good to go. I had mine cut out in August. The day of and the day after surgery we're rough but by the third day I was out on the water fishing and by day five I was back to eating most foods and normal outdoor activities. The most important thing is to follow the doctors post op instructions and don't do anything physically active the first couple days. With yours not being impacted it will probably be even more of a breeze than mine. Good luck and have fun on your hunt!

This right here. I guess I’m lucky, I had three of mine out a few years ago. I ended up not taking a single pain pill they have me as ibuprofen did just fine. By the next night I was eating some enchiladas in San Antonio! You’ll be fine brotha!

                      This!!!
I’m 39. I had 3 of mine pulled 2 weeks ago. I was in a deer stand that evening with no issues or pain medicine. Mash potatoes, smoothies and jello pudding got me thru the first day.

                      Good luck!

Use the squirty syringe things to wash out the holes and you will be good to go.

Don't do it! Wait a few weeks. If not a medical emergency, wait a week or a few. Why the rush? Are you getting a HUUGE discount? Saving $500? That stuff hurts and leaves you open for infection. These days, deep bone and blood infection can kill you or cause you to have your face amputated. Think you are not getting enough looks from pretty girls today? Try it with no lower jaw.

Why do you want to get teeth pulled then hunt with your friends when you won't be able to talk, drink whiskey, dip, drink beer, smoke cigs and stogies, eat yummy spicy food, talk smack, eat fresh back strap, get punched in the face by a friend, etc.?

Re-schedule for January, late in the month, or Feb. Your stinky wisdom teeth will still be there and ready to be pulled. In March when they are gone, the girls will be snuggling up to you to all day, every day!

Man, I think you'll be fine, bleeding should be done and swelling should be gone by then. Bring a few protein drinks with you just in case it's still sore
