Stupid question about Netflix shows like Strager Things

Do they release the entire season all at once or is/was there a channel to watch each episode on over the last year?

It appears like they release it all at once but I don't understand that. Why would they?

yup...large data dump for users to binge on. My wife & I still like to space it out rather than finish the season quickly and have to wait the entire year.

Honestly I think they do it so people will consume more content. Kind of like feeding an addiction...binge watching leads to more binge watching and with product placement advertising they make more money with every watch.

That’s their format. Everything drops in its entirety

Because millennials don't like the cable tv model and want to do things on their own time.

Because it makes for a better viewing experience and you don't have to deal with stupid cliche cliffhangers every week, just focus on storytelling.

Since they are a pay service, $130 a year? with no commercials they don't have to string stuff out to provide value to advertisers. They just have to provide value to their customers.

TV shows until Netflix (and I guess HBO and they stream too) have always been made for advertiser and then viewers, not vice versa.
