Javelina - Stephens County

We recently had some Javelina show up at our place in Stephens County. Looking it up on Texas Parks and Wildlife, it shows as "No Open Season". What does this mean exactly? Are we not allowed to hunt them?

Correct. You can't shoot them

nope, cant hunt them. I had some show up in Jack county a few years ago and looked it up with the same results. I'm pretty sure my neighbor shot them anyway.
